My Portfolio

 Welcome to my e-portfolio. I am exploring the capabilities of using this system to maintain electronic portfolios as part of my research on implementation of online electronic portfolio systems. Click on  the links  to see the pages that I have decided to include in this version of my portfolio. You can read for example about my biography, and my future goals with this project. Next I will be opening a new page with some basic instructions to work here in a very easy way.

Every portfolio has a purpose. My purposes for developing this portfolio are to improve your  skills in English as a second language taking advantage of the new technology, in this case the use of an e-portfolio, and a better use of your free time,  grow in you discipline in your study by respecting the you cultivate the discipline of study, taking into account the time allocated for each job, and encourage reflection and critical to all that read, in an atmosphere of collaboration and respect.

My Biography

I have been teaching English since I graduated as BA in 1997. Since then I have worked with teenagers in different high schools in Barranquilla and Sincelejo (Colombia) where I live currently.
I also work with the local public university, Universidad de Sucre, where there are five basic levels of English which must be placed by all students as a prerequisite for graduation. 

I finished my specialization in Teaching English as a Second Language from the faculty of Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in 2007. 


Currently, I am studying my Mastery Degree in Teaching English as an L2 through a Self-directed Learning. To acquire a high level of autonomy and self-directed learning, the students should learn to drive properly some technological tools, such as the computer and some educational programs such as the use of portfolios.


I am currently exploring high school graduation portfolios  involvement in e-portfolio development in high school education. This newest research focuses on how students can meet  collaborative development of electronic portfolios to communicate authentic  learning related to standards, goals or outcomes.
